Learning through play

At Sandcastles we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum which is set by the government. It has 7 areas of learning and while your child is with us, we will support them in all of these areas. Our aim is to help all children to reach their full potential, giving them the skills they need before they go of to big school.

All children are given individual learning journeys which parents/carers take home daily or weekly and keep when they leave. This enables you to be part of your child's learning and development.

The Nursery’s philosophy upholds the importance of a child centered environment where children are given opportunities to learn, play and explore. Experienced practitioners support and extend children's development, using their interests and the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Children are grouped according to their age and development. Each child has a key person.
