At Sandcastle Nursery and Preschool Ltd, we are committed to providing a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for all children. As a setting, we strongly promote the provision of meals prepared on-site, as this supports allergy management, healthy eating, food safety, and equality among children. We provide fresh and home cooked food daily by our designated food hygiene qualified practitioners.

 

We will respect all parent’s dietary wishes for their children. Children will be provided with nutritious healthy cooked meals and snacks including their five a day of fruit and vegetables.

There will always be a first aider present during all mealtimes. All practitioners have also completed online food allergy and intolerance training from the Food Standards Agency. 

 

Children will always have access to fresh water, and milk at snack times.
